How to Apply

The Charles Finney School admits qualified students on a first-come basis.  Open enrollment begins in January for the following school year.  Current students are given preference for early re-enrollment.  The Charles Finney School has rolling admissions.  Families must complete the following steps below to apply.

Steps to Apply:
  1. Schedule a personal appointment, classroom visit (K-5), or Student Shadow Day (6-12) for you and your child.
  2. Submit a completed application. 
  3. Submit 2-3 years of testing or evaluations, reports cards, transcripts, and any other important academic records.
  4. Submit all personal recommendations and references required per grade.
  5. Complete all screening and entrance exams required by grade.
  6. A $30 application fee.

Additional testing and personal interviews may be required.  Additional forms are required after acceptance and prior to enrollment including financial forms, the registration fee less the application fee, health and emergency forms.

All required application documents are outlined in the chart below per grade.  Each column also has a printable checklist for your convenience.

* Kindergarten screenings are scheduled in April - May.  Late applicants will be by appointment.
