Lessons

Instrumental and voice lessons are available for students from beginners to advanced.  Lessons are available for voice, band, orchestra, and piano students.  We also refer lesson teachers to students who want to study with a private teacher outside of school.  Lessons are offered during the school day on a rotating basis as well as after school.  Lessons are not included in tuition and the cost is determined with the individual lesson teacher.

Instrumental Rental
There are a limited number of instruments available for rental during the school year as well.  These include:
Alto Saxophone, Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone, and Bassoon
We refer parents to some local music stores to rent other instruments

WIND AND PERCUSSION LESSONS:
Lessons are offered during the scool day once a week.  They are $15 for a 30-minute pull-out lesson.  This is a very competitive and low price for the Rochester area, where the general range for lessons is $20-$30 for 30 min.  Parents will be billed each quarter and the bills must be paid up front before the quarter begins.  A letter will be sent home before each quarter starts (except 1st quarter) with the expected lesson dates and amounts.  If a lesson is missed due to an illness, absence, or field trip, it will be made up that week, if possible, or as soon as possible after the missed lesson (unless there are extenuating circumstances.)  Lessons are pull-out and rotate throughout the day to keep students from missing too much class work.

4th and 5th Grade students who play wind and percussion instruments will have lessons with Miss Irvine, mostly in the mornings.  Miss Irvine contacts Mrs. Paganelli and Mrs. Kestler to set up this schedule around the elementary schedule.  6th through 12th grade wind and percussion students' lessons are arranged on a rotating basis around the available times in the Middle School, High School, and Miss Irvine's teaching schedule.  Quarterly schedules are mailed home.
