Welcome to the Charles Finney Music Department!  We have many activities going on in our classrooms throughout the school year.  Our goal is to teach about music in all of its variety, complexity, and depth, within the context of God the Creator, His Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit and have fun doing it!  The programs here have been developed based on New York State and National Music Standards for Education, found on the page listed in the toolbar.  By doing this, students will experience a well-rounded, in-depth, and thorough music education during their time here at Finney. 

Some of the opportunities available for Finney students include the following courses offered at each age level: choral ensembles, instrumental ensembles, academic general music classes, and musicals.  Students also have the opportunity to take private lessons as well as attend county and state solo competitions and ensemble performances.  Also, chapel takes place once a week and uses students from the High School Choir/Worship Class to lead worship for their peers.
