This page is designed to give parents information regarding the winter and spring solo festivals. The winter solo festival, run by the Monroe County School Music Association (MCSMA) uses the solo auditions to select students for performances by the top music students in the county that are held in March. The spring solo festival, run by the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) uses the all-state solo auditions to select students for performances by the top music students in the region and in the state that are held the following November.

Participation Requirements:
- Students need to have prepared a level 1 - 6 solo from the NYSSMA manual and will be required to play the piece, sight read music, and follow the other manual requirements. See Miss Irvine for details.
- Students must wear concert clothes, NO jeans or sneakers
- Students MUST HAVE 2 original copies of the music (photocopied music WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED). One copy for the judge to look at and one copy for the student. Finney will provide the judge's copy of the music.
