Financial Aid & Scholarships

Financial Aid is limited in terms of quantity and availability. Forms for requesting financial aid are available in the admissions packet. A copy of the most recent Federal income tax return must accompany the application. The deadline to file for Financial Aid is April 22nd. Occasionally there is a later Financial Aid opportunity.

Decisions on Financial Aid are based upon the Financial Aid Committee recommendations. There are no predetermined income qualifications. Awards will be based upon the income levels of those who apply. Letters will be mailed to all who apply by the end of June.

In addition, Finney offers merit-based scholarships for freshmen based on the results of our entrance exam. The scholarships could potentially pay for all or part of their winners’ freshman year. The exam is required of all incoming freshmen, whether current or potential students. For potential students, only those taking the exam on either the December 1st or March 8th dates will be eligible for the scholarship and should call (585) 387-3770 or email admissions@finneyschool.org to register. Current Finney eighth graders will take the exam during the school day on January 28th. There is no cost for the exam.
