I graduated from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln with a B.A. in Cello Performance, and minors in both English and Judaic Studies. I have taught private cello and piano lessons since 1996, and spent time substitute teaching in the Lincoln Public Schools before moving to Rochester in 2003 to start a Christian community arts school, funded by a local church. I served as Director for Rochester Center for Redeeming the Arts (RCRA) until 2006, while also enjoying running the Children's Department at Barnes and Noble for part of that time.
I get excited about hiking in Colorado, watching the Nebraska Cornhuskers, good books that challenge my thinking, being with my amazing family, playing guitar, and leading worship. I've traveled to Thailand and Japan, and spent six weeks in Zambia, all in ministry capacities. Coffee, writing, and live music are my pastimes of choice. I believe that God is honored as we unpack the gifts He's put inside of us, and I am passionate about seeing people grab hold of the vision God has for their lives.
I am thrilled to be part of the Finney family, and can't wait to see what the Lord will do in and through our students this year!
