Finney parents and students are able to access grades, attendance records, teacher comments and even the daily school announcements from their home, library or office computer. Parents receive a user name and password to access the records and their children’s information is secure and private. Finney is one of the first schools in the country to use this school information management system by Apple.

Media Center / Computer Lab

Our Media Center is staffed with an educational technology specialist. Access to print as well as electronic media is available. Students receive instruction in both information literacy skills as well as computer skills.
The Media Center houses one of the stationary Mac computer labs and an additional computer lab/ classroom is adjacent. In addition, two mobile Mac labs, utilizing laptops and wireless technology can be taken directly into classrooms as needed.

Computer classes begin in Kindergarten and are provided through the high school level. Middle school level computer lessons are developmentally appropriate and integrated with their classroom study. Students become familiar with the machines, develop their keyboarding skills, and learn basic computer applications.
